BEDHEAD Self Absorbed Shampoo and Conditioner ****1/2

16 May

With their funky, brightly coloured bottles and original product names, Tigi’s “Bedhead” products have always caught my eye, in both salon and stores.

The creators of the line are the very famous British stylists Toni and Guy, and they also produced a cosmetics line with the same name. My curiosity got the better of me, and after checking out their website and reading some stellar reviews i decided to give it a shot. I decided on the ‘Self Absorbed’ shampoo and conditioner, which promised to get my “out of shape chemically treated hair physically fit.”

The product was a bit pricey, (about $15 for a 13oz bottle of shampoo and $17 for the conditioner) however after using the product a few times that was far from my mind. Not only did my hair look and feel healthier from roots to end, it continued to look and feel healthy until it was time to wash my hair again. Even after using styling products for a night out on the town, and then rinsing it once the morning after, my hair still looked and felt like i had used the product the night before. An added bonus was the awesome smell (both the shampoo and conditioner smells like creamsicles!) and it was a nice change from the minty, vanilla smelling product i was used to.

Although a bit pricey, you do get what you pay for. Bedhead products are not tested on animals, however they are not organic, which i was a bit disappointed to hear. Regardless i was extremely happy with the product and will continue using it, and trying out other Bedhead products in the very near future.
